I WANT THIS INTERACTIVE EXPERIENCE

In a world where AI and hybrid work are reshaping how we connect, Dance to Lead offers a distinctive approach to leadership development that brings humanity back to leadership. Designed by Kim Bercovitz, Ph.D, it blends behavioral science with the partnership principles of salsa dancing to help leaders and teams build trust, communicate with clarity, and collaborate with agility.

This is not a traditional talk or dance class. Dance to Lead weaves together insight and experiential learning to bring leadership dynamics to life --— and into everyday work. The result is leadership development that lasts beyond the moment, shaping how leaders show up, communicate, and collaborate.

Leadership isn't just taught - it's felt.

LET'S DO THIS

I'm Dr. Kim Bercovitz - known as Dr. Kim, the Dance Doctor - a leadership and human connection educator. Through my signature approach, Dance to Lead, I challenge traditional leadership development by reframing leadership as something we experience, not just learn. I use dance as a living leadership lab.

My person-centered approach draws on more than 25 years of research  experience across exercise and health promotion, disease management, addictions and aging. I have a Ph.D. in Social and Behavioural Health Sciences from the University of Toronto, where I later served as an adjunct  professor, and I completed a postdoctoral fellowship with the National Cancer Institute of Canada. My career bridged academic and applied research at hospitals, pharmaceutical companies, and health organizations, along with teaching chronic disease and osteoporosis exercise programs.

While my background is deeply rooted in science, my work has never been only about data; it’s about observing and understanding the human experience behind it.

One place that continues to shape this understanding is the dance floor. I'm an avid salsa dancer based in the Washington DC area and regularly travel to Europe to deepen my musicality and followership through immersive salsa marathon events. The awareness, connection, and communication cultivated through partner dance now inform how I understand leadership, relationship dynamics and human behavior.

In 2026, I will debut Dance to Lead, a movement-based, science-backed experience that offers a rare blend of academic rigor, embodied leadership, and engaging, memorable learning.

Lead with courage and intention. Others will follow.
