I'm a health behavior scientist, health/life coach, and professional speaker specializing in health and human connection. 

My hands-on person-centered approach comes from my 25+ year research career in exercise and health promotion, disease management, addictions and aging. I have a Ph.D. in Social and Behavioural Health Sciences from the University of Toronto, where I later served as an adjunct  professor, and I completed a postdoctoral fellowship with the National Cancer Institute of Canada. I worked at renowned teaching hospitals, consulted to pharmaceutical companies and health organizations, and taught chronic disease and osteoporosis exercise classes.

My work has never been just about data; it’s about observing and understanding the human experience behind it.

Another place I learn about people is on the dance floor. I'm an avid salsa dancer in the Washington DC area and often travel to Europe to deepen my musicality and followship skills at salsa marathon events. The awareness, connection, and communication skills I've developed through salsa dance socials now influence how I understand human behavior and what I share as a speaker.

In 2026, I'll be debuting my interactive, salsa-inspired keynote and workshop at leadership and team-building meetings and events.
