I'm a health behavior scientist, gerontologist, health/life coach -- and professional speaker.
My hands-on wellness approach evolved from my 25+ year research career in exercise and health promotion, disease management, addictions and aging. I have a Ph.D. in Community Health from the University of Toronto where I was an adjunct professor, and I was a former National Cancer Institute of Canada postdoctoral fellow. I worked at renowned teaching hospitals, consulted to pharmaceutical companies and health organizations, and taught chronic disease and osteoporosis exercise classes.
But .... I'm not a stuffy scientist who coaches people to better health through hard data. A certified yoga instructor and pole walking master trainer, my passion is dance: I'm an avid salsa dancer in the Washington DC area and travel to Europe to up-level my musicality and followship skills at salsa marathon events. I am so excited to debut my interactive salsa-inspired keynote at leadership and team building events in 2026.
